Clarity Diamonds — Pricing Update Prompt

Context
Clarity Diamonds (claritydiamonds.au) is updating all pricing sitewide. We use a two-stage discount model on diamonds:
- Original Price — the base diamond price displayed with a strikethrough
- Everyday Price (30% off) — the standard visible diamond price, always active
- Launch Special (40% off) — ends June 30, 2026. Transitions to everyday 30% off from July 1.
During launch, show the 40% off price as the active diamond price. After launch ends, switch to the 30% off everyday price.
IMPORTANT: Discounts apply to diamonds ONLY. Ring settings (metalwork, bands, prongs) are sold at a fixed price with no discount. Gold and platinum have a real cost floor — discounting settings would be dishonest. On the site, show the setting price as a flat amount with no strikethrough or discount badge.
Important pricing rules:
- Use round pricing (4,099) — round numbers signal premium quality
- Show crossed-out original prices with the discounted price alongside — e.g.,
~~$4,100~~ $2,460 — 40% off Launch Special - Include a percentage discount badge next to the price (e.g., “40% off” or “30% off”)
- All prices in AUD
- All settings are 18k gold — this is a quality advantage over competitors using 9k or 14k gold. Display “18k gold” prominently near all setting prices.
- All diamonds are IGI certified

6. Search / Inventory Page (/search)
If the search page displays pricing, ensure it pulls from the full price matrix (3,600+ combinations of shape × carat × colour × clarity) with the 30% increase applied. The spreadsheet Clarity_Diamonds_Diamond_Pricing_v2.xlsx contains the base matrix — all diamond values should be multiplied by 1.56 (original 1.3 × additional 1.2 increase). Setting values should be multiplied by 2.08 (original 1.3 × 1.6).
Key implementation notes:
- Prices are diamond-only (setting is added separately)
- All prices in AUD
- Show the grade tier label where helpful: Premium, Popular, Standard, Value, Budget
- Include an “Add a setting from $840” prompt alongside diamond results

8. What NOT to Show
- No competitor names or competitor prices on the website
- No “save X%” or “save $X” claims compared to competitors (our own discount percentage is fine — “40% off” refers to our own Original Price)
- No margin percentages (“our margin is 15%”)
- No manufacturer invoices
- No “Est. Retail” comparison column — remove if it exists on shape pages
- No charm pricing (X,499)
What IS allowed:
- Crossed-out original prices showing our own discount (~~2,460)
- “40% off” and “30% off” badges (these reference our own RRP, not competitor prices)
- “All settings are 18k gold — most competitors use 9k or 14k”
